Q. How do I create Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for my materials?

Answer

Here are a few ways you can obtain a Digital Object Identifier (DOIs) for your materials:

Repository Options

  • You can upload your work to a repository that provides DOIs for uploaded works. These can include disciplinary repositories, such as CORE-Humanities Commons or bioRxiv, as well as interdisciplinary options like OSF, or data-specific repositories like DRYAD. This library guide provides more information on selecting an appropriate repository.
  • The ASU Research Data Repository provides registered DOIs for published dataset records produced by ASU Researchers in the repository. ASU Library’s KEEP Institutional Repository provides persistent identifiers called Handles, which are similar to DOIs. Only scholarly works by ASU authors are accepted for both of these ASU repositories.
