Q. I am working on a data management plan. Can you help me identify an appropriate data repository?

Answer

The best place to search for disciplinary repositories is:

Researchers in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability can also contact the Global Sustainability Support Services for information on GIOS data management.

A non-disciplinary option is:

  • Open Science Framework
    • This includes both project management and data sharing.
    • ASU now has an institutional account.
    • To access:
      • Go to osf.io
      • Select sign in (at the top right of the page)
      • Choose "Sign in through my institution"
        • Arizona State is the first option in the drop down list.
        • However, if you have any sensitive information this may not be the final sharing mechanism for you.

If you are in the process of writing a plan:

  • DMPTool
    • This tool provides templates for actively building data management plans.
    • Login with your ASU credentials.
      • You can also review our library guide on research data management for additional information, tutorials, and instructions.
      • Note: DMPTool has been updated recently with improved functionality.
