Q. I am Signed In but the fulltext of the article won't open for me. What can I do?

Answer

If you are a current ASU student, faculty or staff and the ASU Library system doesn't have an online copy of an article or a book chapter that you need for your research, or if you are signed in to the ASU Library system but the full text access link does open the full text for you...

  • You can request a digital copy through your Interlibrary Loan ILLIAD account!
    • Here is a link to our Interlibrary Loan guide.
    • It includes a link to the sign-in page for your ILLIAD account.
    • Take a look at their FAQs near the bottom of their library guide! They are very helpful.

You can also try searching Google Scholar.

  • Sometimes full text can be found by searching within ASU Library's Google Scholar portal.
  • Make sure you are signed in to the ASU Library system.
  • On the library home page, change the dropdown from One Search to Google Scholar.
  • Perform your search and be sure to click the All Versions link below each result that looks promising! The full text often appears in those additional versions.
